A 130 km long coast, 23 yacht ports with over 15.000 moorings and berths,
shipyards, a well-equipped service network: Friuli Venezia Giulia, the region in
which the northernmost part of the Mediterranean Sea works its way into Europe,
is the ideal destination... whether you happily possess a pleasure boat or you
would just like to enjoy your first holidays on board!
This dock system is made particularly fascinating by its excellent
equipment and efficiency, as well as its networking offering sportsmen an
overall service.
Sailing enthusiasts can take part in the hundreds of sailing races organized by
sailing clubs every year... as well as, of course, in the Barcolana: a
traditional mid-October event in the Gulf of Trieste in which over 2.000 sailing
boats with the most important international skippers compete in a unique sailing
kermis.
Everyone can sail on a safe sea, from the sandy coasts of Lignano and
Grado with their wonderful strands (on which children can spend a few hours) to
the wide rocky gulf of Trieste: here there is the Sea Reserve Miramare, the
first in Italy to obtain the EMAS certification, a European quality label
certifying that the environmental management of the area is in keeping with EU-norms.
