Not many people know this but the spa in Monte di Appiano has been
operating for centuries, exploiting the crystal clear waters of the area for herbal
infusions with pine resin and other conifer flavors.
Bad Turmbach is situated among the incredibily pretty
rolling hills in the vicinity of Eppan, at an altitude of 500 meters. The
area unbelievably rich in Medieval castles, as well as noble residences
built in an aristocratic architectural style called the Aberetsch manner,
incorporating Tuscan, Venetian an Tyrolean features. The climate, nature and
general atmosphere of Aberetsch is redolent more of the Mediterranean than
of the Alps.
Gourmets from far and near appreciate our superb cuisine
for its genuine Tyrolean and international dishes, for example fresh trout
accompanied by their own homemade white wines. Of course their wine list is
extensive and connoisseurs will find plenty there to delight their palates.
The Turmbach, a typical gasthof,
is located in one of the few residences that have stood the test of time and has been
managed by the Worndle family for as long as anyone can remember.

This friendly, well
kept place has balconies with flowers and adequate space for dining: in short, it is
fully equipped for anyone wishing to enjoy a relaxing break. In summer you can eat
outside under the apple trees, close to the river where the trout can be seen darting
through the water.
Rooms are comfortable and, though they vary from one room to the next,
furnishings are all typical. A buffet breakfast is available with a selection of home-made
sweet and savory food. The restaurant serves 'revisited' local dishes at a price of 40-45
euro, excluding wine.
