Cogne - Gran Paradiso National Park

Once the Ancient land of the Salasses and an important mining center for iron extraction, Cogne boasts a past, rich in history,culture and traditions which are lovingly disclosed throughout various celebrations , exhibitions and encounters.

Built in feudal time by the nobles Challant of Fenis., it then became a residential villa in 1713. The distinctive castle with the four-crenellated towers welcomes you in our valley.

Built in 3 AD. by two Roman colons , Aimo and Avilio, over the gorge of the Grand Eyvia river, the aqueduct bridge in Pondel stone, about 56 meters high and over 50 meters long, is, in the Valle d'Aosta, one of the most interesting monument of the Roman Period, still perfectly preserved.
