Chamois is a little village in the
green pastures at over 1800 meters above the sea level, the highest
comune (municipality) in the Valle d'Aosta and the only one in Italy that cannot be
reached with a car. Exactly as in a remote time, there is no noise and
no pollution, a village that is for sure a destination that you should
not miss, be it in winter for skiing or in summer for relaxing trekking, as you can see in the video above.
Chamois offers to
his guests during summertime the possibility of trekking in suggestive
scenery, and to practice sport fishing at the Lago di Lod (Lod Lake)
in a temperate climate repaired from the winds
There are twelve kilometers of ski
trails and two chairlifts that, from the village square, bring you to
2.500 meters. Downhill ski and cross country ski are both available, or
just the pleasure to enjoy the sunshine.
